Michele Schina is President of The Philadelphia Center for Advancing Entrepreneurs. The mission of the center is to enhance and expand educational leadership and research for emerging and established entrepreneurs. The Center offers programming that encourages integrity, excellence, civic engagement and creative collaboration through two powerful programs: Young Entrepreneurs Academy (YEA!)– www.yeaphiladelphia.org and ATHENAPowerLink® NAWBO® Delaware Valley– www.apl-nawbodv.org.

The Young Entrepreneurs Academy – Philadelphia, is a local program of the nationally known Young Entrepreneurs Academy. The Young Entrepreneurs Academy is a year-long transformational program that teaches middle and high school students how to start and run their own business. Nationally, the program has graduated 1394 students over the past 9 years.

Since 1999, the ATHENAPowerLink® NAWBO® Delaware Valley Program has been helping women-owned businesses expand profitably through the use of professional advisory panels. This advisory program is designed to increase the growth and profitability of women-owned businesses.



The John D. McDonald Memorial Foundation


Michele Schina is a Trustee for The John D. McDonald Memorial Foundation, established in honor of Jack McDonald’s commitment to the citizens, and in particular, the youth of Haverford Township. (Jack was a commissioner of Havertown for 30 years.)  The Foundation’s mission is to provide educational and recreational opportunities to our youth while encouraging civic involvement.
